Case Study: Supporting a Community Project that went Swimmingly

PermaGroup was approached by The Lincs Group for additional support with a complex, interesting project to renovate a failed felt flat roof on a swimming pool house. The project, over 100sqm and including intricate detailing, was located within residential grounds, in regular use and required a minimally invasive approach as a result.

Design challenges

The Langrick property had some design challenges, such as vapour management from the heated indoor pool, internal drainage requirements and more. The commercial team worked with the client and the contractor to find an innovative solution.

Located in residential grounds, but used regularly through private rental, the swimming pool project had to be carefully planned to ensure minimal disruption. Logistically, the project ran smoothly and the client was kept fully informed at every stage of work.
Technical specifications and recommendations

Following a survey, we made recommendations for internal drainage which were incorporated into the design and subsequent plans. Technical specifications included a proposed Elevate EPDM waterproofing system to deliver the high performance and longevity the client and contractor needed. The team were available throughout the project to offer both technical and practical support where required by The Lincs Group.
